Here are some tips to travel like a pro from day one.
Recommended to bring:
Comfortable layered clothing, sturdy shoes, flashlight, first-aid kit, basic kitchen utensils, and apps like Google Maps, Park4Night, or GasAll. Don’t forget your vehicle documents and driving license.
Planning your stops:
Set a general route but leave room for improvisation. Plan stops every 2–3 hours and ensure access to water and waste disposal points.
Where to sleep legally:
Look for designated motorhome areas, campsites, or authorized parking. Use apps like Campercontact or Caramaps to find them easily.
Basic rules of conduct:
Respect the environment and fellow travelers: don’t leave trash, avoid noise at night, don’t occupy more space than necessary, and be friendly with the camper community.
